Celebrating best practice for resilience: the Resilience Realized Awards
A new awards programme and showcase, launched by Wood and The Resilience Shift, will share inspiring examples of resilient infrastructure and the pioneering teams behind them who chose to do things differently.
All facets of society urgently need to build asset and infrastructure resilience to climate change and other uncertainties, such as pandemic, cyberterrorism, system failure or other emerging areas of vulnerability.
The Resilience Realized Awards is a new, collaboration between Wood and The Resilience Shift that will give recognition to those projects around the world that are at the cutting edge of resilience. It will shine a spotlight on organisations and governments that are inspiring transformational change in what they do and how they do it to create resilient outcomes ready for current and future uncertainties.
We will be inviting entries from 1st November 2021 through to March 2022. Find out more.
Resilience Realized aims to bring together and showcase the best examples globally of innovative approaches to creating and realizing resilient assets and infrastructure systems in practice.
“Through the Race to Resilience, we are seeing global recognition of the need to build resilience to climate events and other emerging vulnerabilities. The question now for everyone is how best to deliver resilient assets and infrastructure in practice and at scale. Rewarding the best examples of this through the Resilience Realized Awards will help to inspire this action” — Gonzalo Muñoz and Nigel Topping, High Level Champions for Climate Action at COP26, UNFCCC, for Chile and the UK.
